I'm trying to play xenosaga I on my macbook. I can't force progressive scan on my PS2 with this game without crashing it, so I thought I would boot into my windows partition and try it out there.
I got rid of the puppet strings and some of the lines around dialogs, but I still have a few lines around dialogs and sprites that I can't kill off. The sounds is weird at times (pausing makes an almost chirplike sound) and I'm getting flickering while in-battle. Enemy names, attack lists, and the background to the lower right scope flicker. Turning on allow 8 bit textures helps somewhat but it still flashes sporadically, just less quickly. Turning on and off. The widescreen hack also leaves the last frame from the previous scene on the left and right sides when an FMV plays.
The default speedhack settings are checked, sliders all at left, and disabling everything made no difference.
I'm running this on windows 7 home premium x64 on an early 2013 retina macbook pro. Detailed settings and specs below.
