Good day, Microsoft Community,
Primary concern:
Spacebar on Wedge Mobile Keyboard remains active after it is depressed, in any program (ie Windows start or MS Word)
Secondary concern:
Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center renders a “No device detected” notice, when attempting to change Microsoft keyboard settings.
- Both the PC and the keyboard was purchased at the same time, used for a good while, placed in storage, then used again a few months ago, but the spacebar issue only raised it head about two weeks ago.
Tried the Following:
- To date, I have tried downloading and installing the latest Mouse and Keyboard Center Software and Drivers, then realized it needed to be the 2.3 version, so I again download and install hoping this might resolve but my primary and secondary concerns.
- Tried to ascertain if updating the HID keyboard device driver would not do the trick.
- Removed and re-paired the Keyboard.
- Tried updating the driver of Microsoft’s Hardware Bluetooth Device, no luck.
- Have inspected the keyboard itself for possible signs of stuck key’s, also no luck.
- I have even looked at a possible Language change, but it’s obviously not a problem limited to Office only.
Microsoft Wedge Keyboard Setup
So in essence, the keyboard connects to the pc via Bluetooth, it would even allow you to type on the mobile keyboard, as long as you don’t touch the Spacebar.
Desperately seeking suitable and applicable solutions to resolve both the Primary and Secondary concerns…
